The enhanced projects run for 12 to 14 weeks and are aimed at complete beginners who would like to train towards a skill and obtain the tools to turn their skill into a business.

The sewing project is a 14 session project. The initial 11 sessions will be dedicated to techniques and practice in sewing and producing different projects. Sessions 12 and 13 will be dedicated to looking at setting up a business and becoming self sufficient and Session 14 will be a celebration for all students completing the programme. Participants may be of any age.
Although 14 sessions are not very long, it is an excellent starting point for those who have an interest. Participants who are truly interested will succeed. Information will be given about other courses as well as Level 1 and 2 BTEC Awards that attendees may be interested in attending to increase their skills. Other specialist workshops will be offered in the months to follow.
All participants to the sewing project will receive a sewing machine, a generous supply of notions and 20 metres of fabric chosen by them during a shopping trip.

The Patchwork Project is a 13 Session project with Sessions 11 and 12 dedicated to business and Session 13 to the celebration. It is recommended that participants to this project have a basic knowledge of sewing or have attended one of our workshops.
All participants to the patchwork project will receive a free sewing machine, patch working tools and fabrics which we would anticipate to collect by starting a neighbourhood recycling scheme, and fabric that we would purchase with them during a shopping trip.

The Recycle your Denim project is also a 13 Session project with Sessions 8 and 12 dedicated to developing a business. It is recommended that participants to this project have a basic knowledge of sewing or have attended one of our workshops.
We are currently devising other recycling and crafts projects such as The Jewellery Making Project, Recycling Your Plastic Project and others.
Upon successful completion of any of the sewing projects (successful completion entails 80% attendance and submission of all projects. Attendance to business sessions is mandatory), each participant will receive a brand new sewing machine, a large pack of notions and 20 metres of materials of their own choice from a selected range (a shopping trip to obtain those will be organised before the celebration day).

The jewellery project is a 14 week project and, upon successful completion of the project, participants will receive a large jewellery making kit with tools of the trade.
