Joining Hands aims to encourage community participation and co-operation, especially in the more rural, disaffected and disadvantaged areas of Kent, with the view of guiding the community, and especially young people, to set up co-operatives and businesses. Our mission is to nurture and empower individuals, enabling them to realise their aspirations and fulfil their potential. We will not only teach the participants of our projects their desired skills but will give them the physical tools to turn their skills into an income. Economic activity and well-being will, in turn, lead to a greater sense of citizenship and community involvement.

We, at Joining Hands, embrace cultural diversity and invite interest from groups working with individuals of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
